While in law school, Michael clerked at various and diverse positions including Heitner Legal, Milwaukee County Economic Development Division, Gruber Law Offices, Milwaukee County’s Eviction Defense Clinic, Greenberg Law Offices, and Marquette University Athletic Department. Michael also was simultaneously a member of two law reviews, with his article on copyrights and trademarks published in the Marquette Intellectual Property Law Review in 2020. While also in law school, Michael successfully appealed the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on behalf of NFL athlete, Jaylon Ferguson; wrote three sports law articles for publication; was awarded three CALI Excellence for the Future Awards; and placed third in a national negotiation competition, mere fractions of a point behind the eventual champion, Harvard Law School. Michael graduated law school in the top third of his class. Michael has since been nominated to have his biography written in Marquis Who’s Who in America.
